The program may encompass a variety of services tailored to your individual needs including:
- Central Ohio Transportation Authority (COTA) bus/cab travel training. If public transportation is not available to your destination, other transportation may be available at an additional cost.
- Introduction to the Columbus Metropolitan Public Library System.
- Information on key Columbus attractions, recreational activities and events.
- Information on finding permanent housing in Columbus.
- Information on accessing telephone, water, electric and other utility resources in Columbus.
- Information on connecting with social groups in areas of your personal interest.

- Residence Program: Individuals may stay in our residence nightly, 5 days a week, 7 days a week or monthly at reasonable rates. Rooms are fully furnished and we offer breakfast, lunch and dinner for residents as well.
The Residence Program enhances our relocation program, which helps people with disabilities to relocate to the Columbus area from other areas of the state of Ohio or from other areas of the world. Yes, Vision & Vocational Services has housed people from Ohio, other states, and other countries.
Many of the people taking advantage of the Residence Program do so for the advantages of learning a metropolitan area, exposure to being independent, and access to taking advantage of large employment base. Located minutes from The Ohio State University and downtown Columbus, our Residence Program offers many a chance to transition to an urban setting or just enjoy the activities of Columbus.
