After I lost much of my vision through an explosion in the Iraq War while I was a serving in the military, Vision & Vocational Services gave me the tools I needed to be able to work in another occupation back at home. I couldn't believe how excellent and courteous the staff was-- how thorough, thoughtful, and skillful they were. They taught me that having a disability doesn't mean that I have an inability. They provided me with low vision aids that allow me to be productive in the community as a patient advocate for other veterans. More people need to know about Vision & Vocational Services and how beneficial it is.
